We were thrilled to be invited to attend the North West Institute of Director (IoD) Awards with Phil Jones, Sales & Marketing Director of Brother UK last week. Shelly Rubinstein attended the black tie event, held at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester, and was delighted when Phil was given the North West Director of the Year Award.
We have been working with Phil Jones and Brother UK over the past year and a half, and are continually impressed with Phil’s inspirational leadership style. In his acceptance speech, Phil stressed the importance of investing in staff, even in the tough economic climate. He explained how this had helped them to increase profitability in a recession
His clear vision for the organisation has motivated the staff and we are sure the whole organisation will continue to reap the rewards of this investment in the future. Phil said that leaders often underestimate the importance of people development, and he hopes others will give it the priority it needs.
