Impact address the Division of Occupational Psychology Annual Conference

Impact business psychologists spoke at the British Psychological Society Division of Occupational Psychology Annual Conference. The event entitled; Science and Practice: Developing our Profession for the Future, was held in Brighton 14-15 January 2010.

Our session took place at 14.05 on 15th January – ‘Tight pockets, tight fists – downturn in profits, upturn in bullying’. Bullying in the workplace is a serious issue for organisations. Research suggests this is becoming more so during this period of recession.

We explored what organisations are doing to address bullying in the workplace and what more can be done. Our session covered how occupational psychologists can help address bullying in the workplace and how it affects other areas such as stress.
